Nakheel’s Night Souk units ‘fully leased’
DUBAI, November 7, 2014
Nakheel’s new Night Souk at Deira Islands has now been fully leased, with hundreds of local businessmen and women making a last minute dash for units at the new attraction.
Emirati entrepreneurs have flocked to Nakheel’s Dubai headquarters as word spread about the opportunities available at the Night Souk, said a statement.
Ali Rashid Lootah, chairman, said: “We are overwhelmed and delighted by the response to our launch of the Night Souk. In particular, it is wonderful to see so many young people and so many female investors wanting to be a part of this exciting new project. Around half of the investors are under 40, with some as young as their early 20s.
“Our Night Souk will bring together a new generation of local traders at Dubai’s oldest and most traditional business hub.”
Stretching 1.9 km along Deira Islands’ waterfront, the Night Souk – a modern twist on a traditional Arabic souk – includes 5,300 shops 96 quayside cafes and restaurants, said a statement.
Located just across the water from mainland Dubai, it will be easily accessible by road and water, and within walking distance of hotels, residences and Deira Islands Mall, Nakheel’s other major retail project at the islands, it added. - TradeArabia News Service
