Italian eyewear brand opens ME office at Dafza

Italy-based Safilo Group, a leading eyewear company, has opened its first Middle East office at Dubai Airport Freezone Authority (Dafza).
Safilo Group aims at strengthening its presence in the regional markets through the establishment of a locally incorporated, 100 per cent owned company, a statement said.
The inauguration was attended by Giorgio Starace, Ambassador for Italy and Dafza officials Nasser Al Madani, assistant director general, Ayoub Al Hammadi, executive director of Customer Relations and Licensing Division, and Jamal Bin Marghoob, director of Marketing and Corporate Communications Department along with senior Safilo officials including Luisa Delgado, CEO of Safilo Group, and Kyriakos Kofinas, commercial head of Middle East and Africa.
