New retail outlets open at Pearl-Qatar

The Pearl-Qatar, the flagship island development in Qatar of United Development Company, has announced a series of new store openings in the budding precincts of its Porto Arabia and Medina Centrale projects.
This comes in line with the island’s promise of retail bliss by catering to the growing number of residents and visitors seeking exclusive shopping and dining experiences in Doha, said a statement from the Qatari developer.
The recent openings at Medina Centrale include the Novo Imax cinema complex offering an unmatched movie watching experience in Qatar, the premium supermarket brand Spinneys, and the casual restaurants Fat Burger and Nando’s.
On the Porto Arabia front, the new retailers include top fashion brands such as Philipp Plein, Per Lei Couture, Delvaux, Rita Pateroni and the Elie Saab boutique.
Mohamed Yoosaf, the acting general manager of Retail Leasing, said: "These are all new and uniquely interesting stores, and this is part of our philosophy to continually re-invent and upgrade The Pearl-Qatar."
"In addition to the string of store openings taking place in Porto Arabia and Medina Centrale, we are planning the upcoming launch of Gymito, a hitech sporting facility located in Qanat Quartier, spanning an area of 2,000 sq m, with more convenience stores and services extended to this charming precinct," explained Yoosaf.
Also expected to open later this year in Medina Centrale are StrongBox Fitness, Little Princess (a spa for little girls), Big Bear Choppers motorcycle showroom and bikers’ café, TGI Friday’s, German Doner Kebab, Ziryab and Sammach restaurants, said the top official.
In Porto Arabia, the retailers in the pipeline are David Morris, Richard Mille, Nespresso, Al Mandoos men's apparel and clothing, in addition to restaurant concepts LongHorn Steakhouse, Salon Suisse, The Cheese Market, Mikys Deli, Café Mimz, Dean & David Healthy Café, Mado Turkish restaurant and also Si El Sayed Egyptian restaurant and Shakespeare & Co, both of which have recently opened their doors in Porto Arabia.-TradeArabia News Service
