‘Eid in Dubai’ gets backing from top enterprises

DUBAI, September 25, 2014

Dubai’s leading business entities have extended their support to ‘Eid in Dubai – Eid Al Adha’, a citywide celebration that began today (September 25) featuring events from the leading shopping malls to popular public spots.

Organised by Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE), an agency of the Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM), the seventh edition of the campaign held under the theme ‘United in Celebration’ will run until October 11.

Eid in Dubai – Eid Al Adha is aimed at uniting people of diverse nationalities to celebrate the joyous occasion and to strengthen Dubai’s position as a destination of choice during Eid holidays.

“Eid in Dubai extends its reach across the Mena region and attracts a significant tourist footfall to the emirate, enhancing its reputation as a global shopping destination of choice,” said Fahad Kazim, chief commercial officer, Meraas Holding.

“People travel to the emirate from many countries worldwide for the sole purpose of shopping at stores that they cannot visit in their home countries. We aim to ensure that all shoppers visiting City Walk and The Beach receive some amazing discounts and deals across all our outlets,” he added.

AW Rostamani Group

To mark the event, which has become one of the most highly anticipated and popular in the Dubai calendar, AW Rostamani, through its flagship company Arabian Automobiles, the exclusive distributor of Nissan, Infiniti and Renault in Dubai and the Northern Emirates, will be running a unique series of promotions and activities.

Eid in Dubai - Eid Al Adha activities at Dubai Festival City Mall will run across the length of the festival and will include roaming acts from September 25 to October 11 and lively stage shows featuring international dancers from October 2 to October 7.
