Apple gets license to operate in Saudi directly

The Saudi Arabian General Investment Authority (Sagia) has awarded a license to Apple to operate directly in Saudi Arabia, said a report.
 
A new Apple subsidiary – Saudi Arabia Apple Company, will specialise in marketing and the maintenance of its products, under the license, said the Arab News report.
 
The new company will also be involved in training and IT development in the smartphones sector in the kingdom, it added.
