Intercoil marks 40 years in business

Intercoil International, a leading manufacturer, retailer and distributor of premium beds, bedding and bedroom furniture, celebrated its 40th anniversary at a reception in Dubai this week.
The UAE-based company, which was established in 1974, employs more than 400 people, owns two manufacturing facilities in the UAE, and operates eight distribution centres and 23 retail outlets across the region.
Its export footprint currently includes 23 countries in the Mena and Levant, said a statement.
Substantial investment of more than Dh30 million ($8.1 million) in the last two years has enabled Intercoil to increase manufacturing capabilities and meet its plans to appoint new subsidiaries and establish distribution points in new territories such as CIS countries, South-East-West Africa, Central Asia and Eastern Europe, it said.
Hassan Al Hazeem, managing director, said: “We are proud to have achieved this milestone and are grateful to our customers and partners for believing in us. Our passion for excellence, instilled by my late father, and the hard work of our growing team over the past 40 years, has helped build a brand that inspires trust, confidence and maintains the highest standards in manufacturing.”
The anniversary celebration also marked the launch of a new corporate identity that represents the future vision of the brand, and its mission to become a key global player in beds, bedding and bedroom furniture, said the statement.
The rebranding consists of a new, refreshed corporate logo and a new name and visual identity for their retail stores across the region: “The Bedroom by Intercoil”.
The company recently renewed its exclusive Middle East licensing agreement with leading US bedding company Simmons.

As part of its expansion plans beyond the Middle East, Intercoil recently signed an exclusive licensing agreement with Kenyan Bobmil Group of Companies. The deal which allows Bobmil Group to exclusively manufacture and sell Intercoil’s bedding products in Kenya.
It has also launched ‘Sleep Matters,’ a community initiative to help educate, inform and encourage health and wellbeing for UAE residents. - TradeArabia News Service
