Acer, a leading PC manufacturer, has launched a new projector with a high brightness of 3,000 ANSI Lumens and a display of 720p HD images in widescreen format (16:9), making it ideal for home entertainment.

Dubbed the living room projector, the Acer H5380BD is optimised with 144Hz 3D support for an experience of high-quality movie and 3D gaming entertainment.

The Acer ColorBoost II+, featuring an optimised 6-segment color-wheel design, powerful image processing, and advanced lamp illumination technology, provides incredible colour performance, never before seen in conventional projectors.

With HDMI 3D ready, the projector enables the display of a Blu-ray 3D title, delivery the theater-like enjoyment of HD 3D movie in the room. All the mandatory 3D formats defined in HDMI 1.4a for 3D movie, game and broadcasting video, etc. are also supported, according to a statement.

The user can view any nVIDIA 3D Vision compliant games, movies and pictures as well as frame sequential content from a PC with appropriate nVIDIA 3DTV Play or nVIDIA 3D Vision compliant graphic card, by wearing a DLP 3D glasses.
