P&G wins product innovation awards

Procter & Gamble (P&G), one of the largest household products makers, said it has won seven coveted product innovation awards at the 'Product of the Year Gulf 2014' awards ceremony held in Dubai.
The awards, selected by an independent consumer survey of consumers in the Gulf, honor and promote product innovation and quality in the region.
P&G picked up wins for the most innovative products in the baby diapers space and dish care for Pampers Premium Care and Fairy Platinum respectively.
Ariel won the 'Product Of The Year' title in the laundry care category for its Ariel Capsule innovation, while the Oral-B Triumph 5000 with SmartGuide toothbrush won in the oral care category.
P&G also picked up three awards in the hair care space, with Braun Silk-épil SkinSpa winning for the most innovative hair removal solution, Head & Shoulders Itchy Scalp Care Anti-Dandruff Shampoo and Conditioner picking up the award for the best new anti-dandruff product, and the Pantene Milky Damage Shampoo, Conditioner and Oil Replacement range being voted the best hair care range.
“We’re delighted to have been recognized by the region’s consumers for our product innovations,” said Al Rajwani, P&G’s general manager and VP for the Arabian Peninsula and Pakistan.
“We’re committed to improving the lives of consumers and we’re constantly striving to innovate, to deliver more value to our consumers. These recognitions are testament to our belief that we are winning with consumers in this region, and we aim to continue delivering new products that deliver on our brand promise,” he added.
Conducted by market research agency TNS, the award involves a GCC and region-wide consumer survey involving face-to-face interviews with 3,600 households on the perception of various new products that have been launched in the GCC market.
