Sharaf DG opens new outlet in Bahrain

Leading regional retailer Sharaf DG opened its third outlet in Bahrain yesterday hoping for a revival in the market that has been in a slump over the last year.
The 11,000 sqft store located within the Ramli Mall in A'Ali is positioned to attract the more than 50,000 residents of A'Ali and Isa Town catchment area.
"While our sales have not grown as the market sentiment has been negative, we have fared reasonably and are optimistic about a pick-up," managing director Yasser Sharaf told the Gulf Daily News, our sister publication, on the sidelines of the inauguration.
"Bahrain is one of the fastest growing economies in the world. The residents in Bahrain and the increased flow of tourists into Bahrain make it a very attractive market for Sharaf DG.
