Wahat Hili Mall signs Landmark as anchor

Al Ain, June 9, 2013

Wahat Hili Mall, a major shopping complex set to open this August in Al Ain, has signed Landmark Group to its line-up of big anchors, who join other retailers in making fit-out provisions to be ready on schedule.

The deal with Landmark Group will see the addition of six top brands to the modern-day shopping complex, which included Baby Shop, fashion retail brand Splash, footwear shop Shoexpress and home essentials store Lifestyle. The mall will encompass a total area exceeding 3,900 sq m.

Saeed Al Dhaheri, chairman of Wahat Hili Mall, said: “The addition of Landmark Group has allowed us to reach 60 per cent of our GLA leased, tipping the scales ever closer to complete as we continue to make provisions to house more big names in retail. The more we have to offer in terms of selection, the more we will be able to see impressive sales figures in our first year of operation.”

The mall will also be the first to offer Fitness First in Al Ain – the largest privately owned health club group in the world – to its visitors. The anchor will cover more than 1,200 sq m, and join 35 branches in the UAE.

E-Max, a leading electronics retail chain, will also be taking close to 800 sq m of the shopping complex. Customers can find a huge selection of electronics and lifestyle items at competitive rates with friendly service.

“Adding internationally recognised brand names will allow Wahat Hili to draw in more customers who are looking for things never offered in Al Ain before. By doing so, we have positioned ourselves as the go-to destination; negating the need to travel further into different emirates to experience these retail giants,” added Al Dhaheri.

High footfall is only to be expected as the modern and unique community retail development has made its home in Hili District, a thriving tourist area and bustling suburb in northern Al Ain. In addition to this, the shopping complex is surrounded by arterial routes to Abu Dhabi, Dubai, and Oman, positioned at a major population crossroad and will enjoy a year-round steady stream of shoppers. – TradeArabia News Service
