BenQ unveils its first 3D full HD projector

Dubai, May 23, 2012

BenQ, a major provider of digital lifestyle innovations, has launched its first 3D Full HD home cinema projector in the Middle East.

The W7000, the first projector in the world to be accredited with the TUV Rheinland 3D Full HD certification, is powered by DLP Link delivering 1080p Full HD 3D images to both eyes – crosstalk free.

Combined with 50000:1 high contrast ratio, 2000 ANSI lumen high brightness, Rec. 709 color gamut, BrilliantColor performance, VIDI lighting technology and the latest HDMI 1.4a connectivity, the W7000 allows viewers to enjoy brilliantly rendered 3D movies, live sports and video games directly without additional setup.

“This is certainly an exciting new chapter for us here at BenQ. What makes the W7000 so special is that it delivers what we call a real 3D home cinema experience,” said Manish Bakshi, managing director of BenQ for the Middle East and Africa.

“The W7000 allows you to enjoy 3D contents with 1080p Full HD resolution at both eyes. No additional emitters or transmission devices required but just fully immersive 3D enjoyment.”

The W7000 shares the same Full HD optimised optical system as any other top-of-the-line home cinema projectors from BenQ, offering the best clarity and sharpness in every Full HD image, a statement said.

The projection lens is comprised with only glass-made lens elements to perform with far more image details and better brightness performance.

For colour precision that reflects the human eye, W7000 is also built to match native Rec. 709 colour gamut, one of the highest HD video standards seen in professional-grade home projectors today.

Featuring BenQ’s unique colour management system, including the independent 3D colour control and preset mode and user mode adjustment, the W7000 gives viewers the freedom to fine-tune hues, contrast, brightness, colour temperature, gamma and white balance levels to match their individual 2D and 3D viewing preferences.

The W7000 comes with ISFccc certification. So obtaining professional results with the Imaging Science Foundation’s highly reputed ISFccc calibration service is now possible. On top of all above, the W7000 is equipped with a wide lens shift range for easy home installation.

The BenQ W7000 is currently available through BenQ’s leading distributors in the UAE, the statement said. – TradeArabia News Service
