150 exhibitors to meet for Korea exhibition

More than 150 high-profile Korean exhibitors will gather at Made in Korea (MIK 2012), a pioneering exhibition showcasing products, services and technologies from South Korea; set to be held this month at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (Adnec)

The exhibition which will take place from May 21 to 23, will be held under the patronage of Sheikha Lubna bint Khalid Al Qasimi, UAE Minister of Foreign Trade.

Other high profile dignitaries who will be present during the opening ceremony include Hong Suk-woo, Korean Minister of Knowledge Economy; Korean Ambassador to UAE; president of the Korean Trade Investment Promotion Agency (Kotra); representatives from Korean government agencies and regulatory authorities; and the chairman of the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce & Industry.

During the three-day event, the Chamber will organise business-to-business meetings for the business community of the UAE and GCC region, underlining the platform that MIK presents for regional companies to establish and strengthen business relations with their Korean counterparts.   

Exhibitors from a wide range of industries including tourism, automotive, engineering, metal, hospitality, textile, electrical, chemicals, rubber & plastics, power, healthcare, ICT, media, construction, furniture, fashion and sport will be present.

Korean companies participating in the event include Korea National Oil Corporation, Korea Gas Corporation, the Korean National Power and Electricity Company along with LG, Samsung, Doosan, Hankook and Kumho.

The UAE Ministry of Foreign Trade and the Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority have announced their total support of the event.  

Organised by Ideal Idea Events, MIK 2012 is expected to welcome over 25,000 visitors to 14,000 sq m of prime exhibition space and a conference agenda featuring prominent international speakers. – TradeArabia News Service
