Top retailer Carrefour has opened its store in the newly inaugurated shopping mall Fujairah City Centre, marking its second hypermarket in the Emirate of Fujairah and the seventeenth in the UAE.

The world’s second largest retailer, operated in the region through a joint venture with Majid Al Futtaim Group, opened its first hypermarket in Fujairah in December 2011.

The new store stocks thousands of items including a wide variety of fresh fruit and vegetables, electronics and homeware items, and has a delicatessen, butchery and fishmongers.

Recognised as one of the most active shopping concept developers in the region, the Majid Al Futtaim group first introduced the Carrefour model to the Middle East in 1995. – TradeArabia News Service
