Samsung launches new colour laser printer
Amman, July 16, 2011
Samsung Electronics, a global leader in digital media, has unveiled a new A4 colour laser printer designed for high volume, business colour printing.
The CLP-775ND is equipped with a 600MHz dual core CPU, able to perform at speeds of up to 33ppm (A4), a statement said.
“Business printing has been an important focus for Samsung in 2011 as we look to build on our success in the printer market,” said Sangsuk Roh, president of Samsung Electronics Levant.
“Corporate customers now expect printers to deliver increased productivity and cost-effectiveness, without sacrificing speed or quality, while also being environmentally friendly, and this is exactly why the CLP-775ND offers such great value.”
Its improved anti-jam technology also reduces the chance of paper jams by 50 per cent from previous models, the statement said.
The CLP-775ND comes with a 1GB Ethernet network connection as standard, allowing the printer to be connected to a high-speed, high-volume network.
The new printer uses 22 per cent less power than previous products and its productivity features includes a built-in duplex mechanism, which provides a 2-up mode and skips blank pages, resulting in lesser usage of toner.
Samsung has developed a unique ReCP (rendering engine for clean page) technology to improve the overall quality and vibrancy of colour printing. It automatically sharpens the focus of both graphics and text, while solid objects are overlapped to eliminate white gaps.
Edges are smoothed using Samsung’s edge resolution enhancement (EdgeRes), which adds dots along the edges of characters so that they appear much sharper, according to the statement. – TradeArabia News Service
