Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Federation of GCC Chambers of Commerce held a consultative meeting to discuss import duties on gold products and difficulties gold traders face in exporting them.

Thirty six gold sector representatives from GCC countries attended.

They blamed GCC customs officers for not implementing laws approved by their countries.

GCC Customs Union director Mohammed Al Heef told our sister paper Akhbar Al Khaleej that he hadn't received any official complaint from Bahraini gold traders.-TradeArabia News Service
