Fujitsu solutions power 86 Lulu ME retail outlets

Abu Dhabi, December 26, 2010

EMKE group, which operates the popular Lulu chain of Hypermarkets, supermarkets and department stores, has selected a Fujitsu solution to run its point-of-sale POS systems across 86 stores in the Middle East.

The applications driving the Fujitsu POS are installed using OPOS drivers that are centrally connected through SAP applications.

“Fujitsu has been EMKE Group’s technology partner for more than 15 years, and during this time has consistently provided us with reliable and cost effective solutions to run our business,” said Madhav Rao, group CIO, EMKE Group.

“The Team POS systems meet the demands of our store operations – from a standalone point of sale as well as mission critical applications such as customer relationship management. The solution has been tailor-made to provide us with the optimum price and performance fit, along with enhanced security, energy efficiency, and management.”

“Fujitsu’s TeamPoS3000 Series features state-of-the-art Intel Core 2 Duo processor-based technology and a host of other features to help EMKE Group lower total cost of ownership,” added Chandan Mehta, product marketing manager – Middle East, Fujitsu Technology Solutions.

“The open architecture platform is compatible with new and existing systems with industry standard operating technology to help maximise scalability and flexibility. The system is designed and built to endure the harshest of retail environments, thereby reducing maintenance costs.”-TradeArabia News Service
