Landmark launches loyalty programme

Landmark Group, a leading retail and hospitality conglomerate in the region, has announced the launch of Shukran, a customer rewards initiative programme.

Previously known as the Centrepoint Privilege Club, Shukran will rollout in a phased manner across the GCC, said Landmark in a statement.

Shukran is the region’s leading loyalty programme promoted by a retail business group; its presence spanning 7 countries, over 800 outlets and covering over 1.5 million members.

The programme will encompass the existing member-base of the Centrepoint Privilege Club, and add new members as it is launched; in the fashion, lifestyle, food, hospitality and leisure space, said Vipen Sethi, CEO of Landmark Group, speaking from Dubai.

'Shukran is a programme for the region, by the region’s favourite retailer. The name pays tribute to our humble beginnings in the GCC,' he remarked.

'As the Group has grown and diversified its interests, we have redesigned our programme to now offer a much wider array of benefits and rewards. Shukran will be the region’s largest and most rewarding customer loyalty programme,' he added.

The programme is being launched with exciting new brands across retail and hospitality such as Max, Shoexpress, New Look, Kurt Geiger, Casa Havana, Centrepoint Café and Jungle Food Court besides the pre-existing Centrepoint, Juniors, Shoe Mart, Splash, Lifestyle, Home Centre, Paprika & Bossini.

With Shukran, members can earn up to 12.5 points for every 1 KD ($3.5) they spend. The most exciting part of the programme for members is that they can earn points even during sales and promotions. These points can be redeemed through reward certificates sent to members every quarter, the company said.

Speaking at the launch, Saibal Basu, territory head of Landmark Group in Kuwait: “Landmark has always maintained a proactive approach towards retaining customers and we consider our loyal customers as our most significant shopper-base.'

'On account of being ambassadors who graciously endorse our products and brands, they share a relationship with the Group. Shukran is ‘Our way of saying thank you to loyal customers’ and with the number of participating outlets in the programme, there’s enough reason for them to shop their heart out!,” he added.

The first phase of the relaunch includes the programme roll-out in Kuwait, Oman and Qatar followed by other countries in the coming months. -TradeArabia News Service
