Creative launches new devices

Dubai, September 23, 2010

Creative Technology, a worldwide leader in digital entertainment products, launched its latest devices in the Middle East at a dealer seminar in Dubai.

The special seminar entitled Pure Music Everywhere, held at the Fairmont Hotel, introduced Creative’s Zen X-Fi Style media player which restores quality lost during format compression; and the lightweight Creative HQ-1450 and Creative HQ-1600 gaming headphones fitted with Neodymium drivers to produce natural audio quality.

The new products are expected to gain a strong share in the digital entertainment segment of the UAE’s thriving consumer electronics market which is expected to be worth Dh10 billion ($2.72 billion) in 2010.

Creative also showcased its range of advanced high-performance wireless speakers that were launched earlier this year, including the ZiiSound D5, the Inspire S2 Wireless, Creative D200 and Creative D100.

“The UAE is a key destination for our digital entertainment range as it is the Gulf’s largest consumer electronics market,” said Desmond Lim, senior manager - regional sales, Creative Technology.

“Through cutting-edge technologies such as X-Fi and one-piece wireless audio our products are more than capable of exceeding the expectations of the country’s young and tech-savvy population. As the commercial hub of the country, Dubai is the perfect venue to introduce these latest offerings,” he added.

Creative Technology is expanding its presence in the Middle East to complement the region’s movement towards a digital society and its transformation into an entertainment and media hub.

The audio-video industry is expected to become a $3 billion market in the Middle Eat and Africa by 2012, a statement said.

Creative garnered worldwide fame for its Sound Blaster sound cards and is credited for its influence on the development of the global PC multimedia market. It intends to leverage its market leadership and technology expertise to help revolutionize the Middle East digital entertainment markets as well, it added. – TradeArabia News Service
