Canon launches new digital copier
Dubai, August 18, 2010
Canon Middle East, a subsidiary of Canon Europe, has launched a new compact desktop digital copier with duplex print capability, positioned to meet personal and small office printing needs.
The PC-D440, which replaces the Canon PC-D320 and PC-D340, will enable users to make further savings in energy, time and costs, Canon said in a statement.
Ideal for small businesses which frequently copy and occasionally print and scan documents, the PC-D440 features an all-in-one cartridge for cost effective use, it added.
The Energy Star compliant PC-D440, which uses 3 watts of energy in sleep mode, has a much improved copy and print speed of up to 22cpm/ppm, allowing office workers to copy multiple pages quickly and efficiently, the statement said.
The printer also utilises some of Canon’s key technologies to provide a quick first-print from sleep mode and a fast first copy out time (FCOT) of nine seconds.
One of the core benefits of the PC-D440 is its ability to copy multiple page documents at a speed of 20 cpm, using the automatic document feeder.
The PC-D440 comes with built-in duplexing as standard, allowing users to print double-sided documents automatically.
The new copier also features a user-friendly interface panel with simple, one-button access to useful digital copy functions such as reduce, enlarge, 2-on-1 copy and electronic collation.
There is also a job cancel button to ensure complete functionality for all users and make operating the model as easy as possible. The device also offers ID card copy, a time and paper-saving feature typically used by the tourism industry and government, which aids the user to copy both sides of an ID or small document to one side of paper. – TradeArabia News Service
