BenQ launches 52” high-definition LCD TV
Dubai, June 15, 2010
BenQ, leading digital lifestyle provider and 2010 red dot award winner, has launched its new 52-inch full high-definition LCD TV.
BenQ’s PQ 5231 is engineered with the patented Senseye Human Vision Technology – a lifelike digital image enhancement engine that satisfies the full potential of the human eye, a statement said.
Senseye’s proprietary image algorithm achieves a balance between picture quality and colour optimization for an overall true-to-life viewing experience, the statement added.
“In true BenQ spirit, the PQ 5231 Series harnesses leading-edge technology into digital lifestyle products that offer exceptional value and unparalleled performance,” said Manish Bakshi, general manager of BenQ for the Middle East and Africa.
“BenQ’s commitment to being ecologically- responsible is highlighted in all our products. The PQ 5231 series’ low power consumption demands – among the industry’s lowest – as well as the LCD TVs’ physical dimensions are in keeping with our mandate to offer consumers a ‘green’ viewing experience wherever possible” Bakshi added.
The series features a real cinema mode, which natively matches the 24fps frame rate of major motion pictures for lifelike action, while MPEG noise reduction eradicates the background noise and distortion that often accompany digital video playback.
For power gamers, a 5.5 ms response time works in sync with the high 100 Hz refresh rate for fast action motion. BenQ’s true 10-bit colour processing displays over one billion colours, far exceeding the standard 8-bit panels’ 16.7 million colours, the statement added.
The PQ 5231 is priced at Dh6,499 ($1,770), the statement said. – TradeArabia News Service
