The fourth annual China Sourcing Fair, set to open in Dubai next week, will be 18 per cent larger compared to last year, with more than 1,300 booths and filling seven exhibition halls.

Global Sources, a leading business-to-business media company, will open the largest China Sourcing Fair ever held in Dubai on June 8 at the Dubai International Convention & Exhibition Centre. It will run until June 10.

The fair, which remains the largest China-products trade show in the Middle East, will be co-located with the second Annual Made in India - India Sourcing Fair.

Both events are exclusively for importers, traders, and other volume buyers who purchase consumer products for resale to markets throughout the Mena region.

“Demand for quality, competitively priced China-made products has never been stronger,” said Bill Janeri, Global Sources’ general manager for the Middle East.

“Our China Sourcing Fairs have grown since their launch in Dubai in 2007. At the same time, our attendance to the events has also grown, indicating that there continues to be a growing need for competitively made products from China.”

“Now, with the expansion of the India Sourcing Fair, we are able to offer buyers in the Mena region manufacturing options from the world’s top two sourcing markets – China and India,” Janeri added.

The China Sourcing Fair features manufacturers of consumer electronics, fashion accessories, gifts and premiums, home products, baby and children’s products, and hardware and building materials.

The India Sourcing Fair expands this year under the “Made in India” theme to bring to Dubai an expanded array of some of India’s most competitive exporters of home products and handicrafts, gifts and premiums, fashion accessories, and garments and textiles.

The Made in India - India Sourcing Fair is supported by the Federation of Indian Export Organisations (FIEO).

More than 10,680 qualified buyers from 102 countries and regions attended last year’s events, a statement said.
