Braun launches non-heated hair brush
Dubai, December 17, 2009
Germany-based Braun, owned by Procter and Gamble, has launched its first non-heated product which is designed to bring instant shine and smoothness to the hair, with each and every brush stroke, said a report.
The portable Satin hair brush with Iontec comes with all the additional frizz fighting and protecting benefits of Braun Iontec, the report added.
The new hair brush works by delivering ions through a uniquely designed jet within the brush’s central core. At the push of a button, the charged particles from the central delivery system are released straight onto the hair to, significantly boost shine, minimise frizz and static, and restore smoothness.
Usually women use conditioner because it reduces friction and makes hair easier to style. The Braun Satin hair brush with Iontec works in the same way: ions minimise the build-up of charges and therefore keep the friction between hair fibres down, reducing the tangling of hair which helps women get smooth hair instantly.
The Braun Satin hair brush with Iontec features seamless bristles with a unique shape and smooth surface with no sharp burr, allowing the separation of hair fibres in a gentle way when brushing, without damaging the hair or the scalp.
“Hair is constantly under threat from environmental and chemical damage,” said Dr Frauke Neuser, principal scientist, P&G Beauty.
“The more damaged the hair, the more difficulty it has maintaining the moisture balance essential for its health. We have developed the Iontec technology to help hair fibres maintain their moisture balance – meaning hair stays stronger and more resilient to its surroundings,” Dr Neuser added.
The Braun Satin hair brush with Iontec, now available in the region, costs Dh199 ($54). – TradeArabia News Service
