Damas offers festival promotions
Dubai, April 5, 2009
Damas, a globally acclaimed jewellery house, has launched a promotions offer for an Indian Hindu festival, according to a company statement.
Akshaya Tritiya, the annual festival celebrated by Tamils in South India, which falls on April 27, is considered to be an auspicious occasion representing success for any new beginnings made and for valuables bought on that day.
As gold is considered the ultimate symbol of prosperity, gold buying forms the central feature of this popular festival.
Damas’ Akshaya Tritiya promotion will run from April 14 to 30 at Damas 22k boutiques and will offer a wide range of jewellery items.
Damas’ especially created 22k white and yellow gold jewellery set for Akshaya Tritiya includes a traditional styled and intricately designed, hand crafted collection composed of three pieces – necklace and drop ear-rings.
The two-strand necklace has a sun-like disc pendant from which fall multiple tassels and is highlighted by minute enamel work.
Its diamond set blends 18k gold studded with approximately 1.04cts of round brilliant diamonds in a design inspired by the flower rangoli – an auspicious Indian symbol for good luck.
The jewellery is offered in a set of three jewels, a pendant/chain and earrings, sold at fixed rates.
“Dubai is a city that is today noted for its multi-cultural environment and Damas has always believed in catering to the populace of the city and the region,” said Tawhid Abdullah, managing director Damas Jewellery.
“Indians form a large percentage of our buyers and as the world’s largest consumers of gold jewellery we are happy to present specially created collections having a rich ethnic flavour, on the auspicious occasion of the Akshaya Tritiya festival, backed by Damas’ well known dedication to craftsmanship and excellence in quality,” he added.
“We are also unveiling several promotional offers which I’m positive Damas’ regular patrons will welcome.” – TradeArabia News Service
