Dubai, November 27, 2007
More than 230 companies are expected to take part in Style Hong Kong in Dubai, the largest show of Hong Kong products in the Middle East.
The event will be held from December 9 to 12 at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre.
It will feature top-quality fashion and gifts, household and electronics products, construction services and many other offerings.
“For Middle East region buyers, Style Hong Kong is a one-stop opportunity to source Hong Kong’s affordable, international-quality lifestyle products and services,” said director, Middle East, the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), Jeff Ambjorn.
“It’s also a valuable networking event, a chance to discuss business opportunities and develop cooperative ventures,” he added.
This year’s Style Hong Kong is the fourth edition. “Over the years, the annual event has grown in both the number of participants from Hong Kong and the number of visitors from across the region who attend,” said Ambjorn.
Style Hong Kong will showcase seven major product and services categories: construction materials; electronics and IT products; fashion and fashion accessories; gifts; home furnishings and hotel supplies; household products; jewellery and watches.
An impressive lineup of Hong Kong companies will take part in the Dubai show, including: fashion specialists Che Che Concept Ltd and Texorient Co; gift specialists Bachmann Asia Ltd, Ice Concepts Co Ltd, and Special Art Ltd; home and hotel décor firms Glasslam Asia Ltd, Jet Fai Trading Co, and Mechtler (Far East) Ltd; gadget firms Coby Manufacturing Co Ltd and Eveerwish Trading Ltd; and watchmakers Trixie Watch & Jewellery Ltd and Lifestyle Arts & Fine Jewellery.
Wah Sun Hand-Bag Factory Co Ltd will be the biggest exhibitor at Style Hong Kong. Wah Sun specialises in ladies' and gentlemen's bags, rucksacks and sports and leisure bags, as well as purses made from synthetic materials, nylon, cotton, patchwork and leather.
Style Hong Kong will be held alongside the 22nd edition of the International Autumn Trade Fair, which features consumer products from exhibitors worldwide. The concurrent events provide a rare opportunity to network with thousands of buyers and trade visitors from more than 50 countries in the Middle East and North Africa.
