Amex backs Jewellery Arabia

American Express Middle East has partnered with Jewellery Arabia 2007 as the 'Official Payment Card' of the event.

This is the seventh consecutive year that American Express has supported the largest and most prestigious jewellery and watch exhibition in the Middle East, which attracts over 40,000 visitors each year. This year's event will be held from November 13 to 17 in Bahrain.

'The Middle East has always had a high affinity for luxury products and services. Today, luxury brands in the region see an even more distinct move towards value consciousness among the HNWIs (high net-worth individuals), showing that value is about the worth to the individual and not the cost,' said regional director of Emerging Markets, American Express Middle East and North Africa, Mazin Khoury.

'Running successfully for 16 years, the Jewellery Arabia series has become an important annual highlight for leading luxury brands. Last year, the show attracted an all-time record number of over 500 jewellery exhibitors and 40,000 private collectors and visitors,' said director of sales and marketing of Arabian Exhibition Management, the organisers of Jewellery Arabia, Fawazi Al Ghehabi Graziela.
