Masdar deploys digital services for business ops
ABU DHABI, October 16, 2018
The Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company (Masdar) has implemented Tejari/JAGGAER sourcing and eProcurement system to facilitate an automated, efficient and paperless procurement and contracts system for the company, a media report said.
One of Masdar’s core objectives is to support the UAE Energy Strategy 2050, which aims to increase clean energy 25 to 50 per cent, reported Emirates news agency Wam.
Masdar recognises that a streamlined and efficient approach, powered by the right technology, is required at every level of its business, including procurement and contracts, and has been working closely with Tejari to digitally transform its processes since 2013, it added.
Ahmed Baghoum, executive director for Human Capital and Services at Masdar, said, "Introducing new systems and technology to make our operations more efficient, reliable and productive is a priority at Masdar, and an integral part of our commitment to being a global renewable energy leader and best in class organisation."
"With Tejari’s systems we have been able to save a lot of time with setting controls and templates and reducing the time we spend in preparation and publishing tenders. Ease of access means line managers can quickly check the status of a tender and the latest actions and communications, avoiding any misunderstanding – and this can be done remotely and quickly," he added.
Abdulla Ail Al Janahi, chairman of the Board of Directors at Tejari, added, "Together with Masdar we have achieved great success in providing a unified and efficient process that allows excellent service through reliable technology. We are committed to supporting Masdar to support the economy and reach its full potential of sustainable development following international standards of best practices."
