Jordan to host top international energy summit
AMMAN, August 6, 2018
More than 500 participants will discuss latest developments in the region’s energy sector at the 4th Jordan International Energy Summit (JIES 2018), to be held later this year, in Amman.
The summit, being hosted under the patronage of Jordan’s Ministry of Energy & Mineral Resources, will take place on December 10 and 11, at the Grand Hyatt.
Investments in the region’s energy sector are at an all-time high and this prestigious event will once again provide a platform for the world’s energy professionals and local governments to engage with international and local investors, to examine and understand the huge opportunities for the future of Jordan’s energy mix, said a statement from the organisers.
The JIES programme is compiled under the supervision of the Ministry of Energy & Mineral Resources in conjunction with industry partners and our expert conference production team.
The programme will address the Middle East and North Africa’s (Mena) and Jordan’s achievements in the energy sector to-date, review current projects and look at future prospects.
Attracting a senior delegation of over 500 participants – the regional importance of Jordan and pivotal role of the country has been reflected by the number of minister-led delegations that attend the event annually including Algeria, Egypt, Hungary, Morocco, Palestine, Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Tunisia and Yemen, it stated. – TradeArabia News Service
