Top West African energy expo to be held in Nigeria

DUBAI, August 1, 2018

The 3rd West African International Petroleum Exhibition and Conference (Waipec), a collaboration platform and sprouting base for innovative ideas across the West African energy industry, will be held early next year in Nigeria.

The event will take place on January 23 and 24 in Lagos.

Waipec was established in 2017 by the Petroleum Technology Association of Nigeria (Petan) to promote the West African oil and gas industry, seek best practice, explore new technologies and develop commercial opportunities for business and international investment.

The event seeks to close the collaboration gaps within the West African region and enable it to harness its resources. It will attract senior level representation and participation from all of the major countries in the region including Angola, Equatorial Guinea, Nigeria, Côte d'Ivoire and Ghana this is in addition to many international organisations, said a statement.

Throughout the two-day event, emphasis will be placed on networking and interaction among influential industry leaders - with the conference bringing hundreds of global and regional influential petrochemicals industry professionals together.

Waipec 2018 featured 50 industry leaders and global experts on an insightful programme, which was held alongside a sold-out exhibition of over 200 companies and over 6,000 visitors.

Organisations participating included: Total, Exxon Mobil, NNPC, Nigeria LNG, Shell, Seplat, Sonagas, GNPC, First E&P, Addax Petroleum, Chevron, Niger Delta E&P plus many more, it stated. – TradeArabia News Service
