Oman-Iran gas pipeline project 'in final stages'
MUSCAT, September 28, 2016
The Oman-Iran gas pipeline project will be finalised soon, a senior government official was quoted as saying in an Iran Tribune report.
Any ‘impediments’ in the way should be cleared soon, noted Iran’s First Vice-President Eshaq Jahangiri.
“Oman enjoys many capacities in various domains which can turn it into an important trade partner in the region and Teheran is ready to have necessary co-operation with Muscat in that domain,” he added.
The pipeline will connect Iran’s gas reserves to Oman, providing liquefied natural gas (LNG) plants sufficient material for re-export.
