The power generation projects will be initiated in Morocco

Engie plans to set up energy projects in Morocco

RABAT, July 3, 2016

France-based Engie, a leading electric utility company, in collaboration with Morocco’s Nereva Holding, an energy company, plans to set up renewable energy projects in North Africa, said a report.

The companies will develop 5 GW and 6 GW power generation projects, which will be initiated in Morocco, reported Morocco World News.

Strong partnerships are at the heart of Engie’s strategy in Africa, stated the report, citing Isabelle Kocher, CEO of Engie.

Engie aims to partner with companies in Egypt, Ivory Coast, Senegal, Ghana and Cameroon between 2020 and 2025, added the report.
