Bapco holds gas supply-demand talks

MANAMA, June 19, 2015

Bahrain Petroleum Company (Bapco) has announced that it organised the annual gas supply-demand summer meeting to closely and effectively co-ordinate the projected gas consumption during the peak season.

The company said it organises the meeting every summer to jointly meet major gas consumers on a national level, said a report in the Gulf Daily News (GDN), our sister publication.

Key targeted outcomes of the exercise include balancing the production of gas with consumer demand forecasts.

It also aims to make gas consumers aware of the critical gas supply situation during summer seasons so as to accordingly plan to optimise the usage of gas to the best interest of the kingdom.

Representatives from the National Oil and Gas Authority, Tatweer Petroleum Company, Alba, Electricity and Water Authority, Riffa Power Station, Sitra Power and Water Station, Hidd Power and Water Company, Al Ezzel Power Company and Al Dur Power and Water Company attended the meeting at Bapco Club. - TradeArabia News Service
