Abu Dhabi refinery set to double output by 2013

Abu Dhabi Oil Refining Company (Takreer) plans to double the capacity of its Ruwais refinery to 900,000 barrels per day by the end of 2013, its general manager said on Monday, more than doubling its current capacity.

'We are confident that with this momentum the project will be completed by end 2013,' Jasem Ali AlSayegh said at a conference in the UAE capital.

Ruwais, the largest refining plant in the UAE, is run by the refining unit of Adnoc (Abu Dhabi National Oil Company), Takreer. Its current capacity is at 415,000 barrels per day.-Reuters
