RIYADH, April 3, 2018
Alesayi Motors, distributor of Mitsubishi Motors in Saudi Arabia, has launched the all-new 2018 Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross.
The cross-over was officially launched earlier by the Japanese manufacturer in Geneva Motor Show.
The car features a unique exterior combining a high base and sporty design resembling that of a fancy sports car. It has a sporty yet practical design, drawn upon the smaller Mitsubishi ASX and the bigger Mitsubishi Outlander. The Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross is equipped with futuristic features.
The Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross has a wide front grille surrounded by agile headlights, with a chrome finished bumper and fog lights. On both sides, as in the latest Mitsubishi vehicles, the car’s design includes sharp lines that provide the greatest aerodynamics and add a sporty feel to its ride.
The car is available with a four-cylinder 1.5 litre direct injection petrol engine connected to a Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) and a turbo-charge providing an excellent fuel efficiency of 15.1 km per litre, with 149 horsepower at 5,500 RPM.
The new Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross also has many new features such as the PushButton engine starting system, an electric panoramic sliding ceiling, electric breaks, Heads-Up Display (HUD), Forward Collision Mitigation System (FCM), blind spot warning and lane change assist.
“The 2018 Eclipse Cross is an all-new product fully manufactured in Japan that will grant us a competitive edge in one of the most popular car segments in KSA which is the SUV category,” said Bandar Bin Saeed Alesayi, CEO, Alesayi Motors.
Bandar also noted that the car is available in two different categories and aims to attract customers who prefer vehicles with an agile and modern exterior. The Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross’s exterior combines the elegance of a coupe car and the power of SUV, making driving a unique and comfortable experience.
Bandar also added that the car has a rich interior. The dashboard features horizontal lines with silver metal frames and a ‘black and silver’ colour scheme, adding a dynamic and sporty feel. The introduction of a premium quality sound system, display screen adding a futuristic theme and feel of excitement to the driver’s cabin. The rear seat is equipped with a 60:40 split fold feature, along with the possibility of adjusting the seat’s position forward and backwards to achieve the maximum comfort and flexibility.
In relation to the positive safety features, the Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross utilises laser radar technology used in automatic cruise control system; along with the front collision avoidance, technology helps detect the road ahead and warns the driver of the risk of colliding with other vehicles or pedestrians. Furthermore, the vehicle gives a warning alarm when the car deviates from the lane specified by the driver.
For increased safety and accident reduction, the blind spot warning system detects vehicles and objects in the blind spot, notifying the driver of any cross-traffic in the blind zones. – TradeArabia News Service
