Bahrain F1 tickets selling at 'a record pace'

Tickets for next month's Formula One race are selling at a "near-record pace", according to organisers.
The Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix is being held from April 4 to 6 at the Bahrain International Circuit, Sakhir, said a report in the Gulf Daily News (GDN), our sister publication.
It is the event's 10th anniversary and is taking place at night for the first time.
"Tickets are selling at a near-record pace so those who have yet to buy their's are advised to do so as soon as possible," said a BIC spokeswoman.
Sales figures were not available yesterday, but fans are being enticed by entertainment that includes international superstar DJ and producer Avicii, legendary rock band The Scorpions and Saudi singer Rabeh Saqer.
British TV character Shaun the Sheep will be putting in an appearance alongside an Island Fanta-Sea marquee, filled with children's entertainment.
Moreover, Formula One feeder series the GP2 will be staging the first round of its 2014 season in Bahrain, while the Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge Middle East will also be holding an exhibition round.
Ticket prices range from BD60 ($157) to BD150 for all three days and are available from the BIC stands at Bahrain City Centre and Seef mall or online. - TradeArabia News Service
