Thrifty Car Rental, a franchisee of the Dollar Thrifty Automotive Group, has opened new retail locations in the Fujairah City Centre and the Mercato Mall, Dubai

With its 44th and 45th locations nationwide open, the car rental company currently serves customers with an outlet in all the major malls in the UAE, said a statement.

The rental company’s business increased by 14 per cent year-on-year  and it has now increased its fleet size to upto 17,000 vehicles with a goal to further increase its presence in the UAE malls.

Rahul Singh, general manager, said: “Malls remain a key focus for us to grow the Thrifty brand in the UAE. Malls contribute to 30 per cent of our short term rental business, and this is only set to grow as we further expand into shopping malls and other Retail opportunities.”

Thrifty Car Rental is a preferred retail partner of Majid Al Futtaim, and has enjoyed a strong relationship with them since 2006. - TradeArabia News Service
