MAN Middle East sees 15pc growth in H1

Dubai, August 1, 2013

MAN Truck & Bus has posted strong sales in the Middle East region for the first half of the year with an increase of 15 per cent year-on-year.

David van Graan, head of MAN Center Middle East and vice president Sales and Marketing said: “The Euro Zone is critical to MAN’s overall business however, Middle Eastern economies have been resilient and with billions being spent on infrastructure projects in the region, the construction and transportation sectors have immensely benefited.”

“Our strong sales performance in the first half of this year is testament of the increased economic activity in the region. MAN has built its leadership position in the regional transportation industry over the years, by offering customers world-class transportation solutions and outstanding after-sales service through our strong network of importers and dealers.”

“Our products are renowned globally for their robust and reliable performance while adhering to high standards of driver and passenger comfort and safety,” added van Graan.

“Discerning regional customers, with several ambitious projects planned or underway and tough operating conditions prevalent, are demanding commercial vehicles that are not only high-performing but durable and offer good value-for-money as well; and this has been the key driver of our sustained sales growth.”

UAE, Saudi Arabia, Oman and Qatar continue to be the main growth markets for MAN Truck & Bus in the Middle East which includes 14 countries.

MAN also recently launched the MAN Genuine Parts ecoline range to ensure the availability of high quality and precision-made spare parts for MAN vehicles across the region which not only contributes towards better vehicle performance but also shortens downtime which reduces the TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) of customers.

Recently in the UAE, three MAN heavy-duty trucks achieved a record milestone by crossing one million kilometers over five years with no history of any major repairs or overhauls.

“Advanced transportation solutions combined with excellent after-sales service, low maintenance costs, high quality spare parts, and driver training is what MAN offers its customers,” said van Graan who expects the company’s regional sales performance to further improve in the second half of the year with several order in-takes in the pipeline. – TradeArabia News Service
