Dubai car auction to benefit autism centre

A significant part of the proceeds from the a classic car auction will be donated to the Dubai Autism Centre, said Leo Sterling, a leading property portfolio manager and organiser of the auction.
Leo Sterling will hold the 2010 Dubai Classic Car Auction in collaboration with auto accessory superstore Yellow Hat on April 9 at the Times Square Center in Dubai.
The car auction that will be held at Times Square Center (TSC) will auction off the largest collection of classic cars in Dubai, a statement said.
The event is also being supported by Desert Warriors Dubai, a leading motorcycle club in the UAE that is committed to driving awareness for social causes.
The donation to Dubai Autism Centre will be made in line with efforts to raise awareness about autism as well as the importance of early diagnosis and intervention.
“Our partnership with Dubai Autism Center is a small measure of our efforts in working with the local community and helping build a better life for children with autism,” said Anthony J O’Donnell, general manager, Times Square Center.
Laura Martorano, CEO and founder of Leo Sterling, said: “Our support to Dubai Autism Centre reinforces our belief that the private sector has to play a vital role in the development of the community.”
“It is our objective to support all the efforts towards developing the services of Dubai Autism Centre and to further enhance its capabilities, especially as this center is completely dependant on contributions and donations,” he added.

The 2010 Dubai Classic Car Auction will feature everything from antique, vintage and classic cars, to trucks and motorcycles, 4x4s, historically significant vehicles, military vehicles, and all other unique and/or custom vehicles, a statement said.
A selection of the cars that are part of the auction will be showcased at TSC three days prior to the auction day. – TradeArabia News Service
