Bahrain hosts second edition of Battle of the Bars

Battle of the Bars, the world’s most well-known Calisthenics competition, hosted its second edition in Bahrain during a two-day event at The Avenues Bahrain in April, organized by Discipline Academy and Allayali Events.
The event witnessed a great turnout with the attendance of members of the media, social media influencers, and a number of representatives from the World Calisthenics Organization.
During the first day of the Battle of the Bars competition, the 8 Man Pro Elimination battle was won by Ismaeel Al Hammadi for the second consecutive time. The battle included eight athletes which fought against each other for the title. The battle included six fighters from Bahrain, one from the UAE and one from Kuwait.
The second day of the event included the amateur battle, where beginners competed against each other for the first time. The winner of the battle was Habib from Thai Martial Arts. The Co-main battle, USA vs. USA was won by Fares from the UAE, and during the main event, Russia vs Bulgaria battle was won by Yashka from Russia.
“The event had the best bars to date in all competitions we’ve had. It’s amazing to see how far the Bahraini community has grown and progressed in the callisthenics industry,” commented vice president of World Calisthenics Organization, Kenneth Gallarza.
“We are proud to host such events in the kingdom, further encouraging young athletes to take part in well-known competitions.
