Saudi Arabia's King Salman yesterday terminated or reshuffled some of the kingdom's top military officers and several deputy ministers and appointed a new woman deputy minister.

 

A Royal order terminated the service of General Staff Abdulrahman bin Saleh bin Abdullah Al-Bunyan as Chief of General Staff and retired him. It promoted Lieutenant General Staff Fayyadh bin Hamid bin Ragad Al-Rwaili, the Deputy Chief of General Staff, to the rank of General Staff and appointed him as Chief of General Staff, a Saudi Press Agency report said.

 

Lieutenant General Staff Mohammed bin Awadh bin Mansour Suhaim, Commander of the air defence forces, was terminated and retired. Lieutenant General Staff Fahd bin Turki bin Abdulaziz Al Saud was relieved of his post as Commander of Land Forces and he was appointed as commander of the joint forces in the rank of Lieutenant General Staff.

 

Major General Staff Mutlaq bin Salem bin Mutlaq Al-Ezaime'a was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant General Staff and appointed him as Deputy Chief of General Staff; Major General Staff Jarallah bin Mohammed bin Jarallah Al-Elwait was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant General Staff and appointed as Commander of the Strategic Missiles Force; Major General Staff Fahd bin Abdullah bin Mohammed Al-Mitair was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant General Staff and appointed as commander of the land forces; Major General Staff Mazyad bin Sulaiman bin Mazyad Al-Amro was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant General Staff and appointed as commander of air defense forces; Major General Staff (pilot) Turki bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz Al Saud was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant General Staff and appointed as commander of air forces.

 

Dr Tamadhir bint Yosif bin Moqbil Alrammah was named as deputy minister of labor and social development for social development.

 

Khalid bin Saud bin Abdulaziz Al-Shanifi was named the Assistant Minister of Economy and Planning; Faisal bin Fadhil bin Mohsin Alibrahim was appointed as deputy minister of economy and planning; Dr Abdullah bin Nasir bin Mohammad Abu Thnain was named deputy minister of labor and social development for labor; Sheikh Saad bin Mohammad bin Abdullah Alsaif was appointed as deputy minister of justice; Ahmad bin Abdulaziz Qattan was appointed as Minister of State for African Countries Affairs with the rank of minister at the Foreign Ministry; and Dr Khalid bin Hussein bin Saleh Biary was appointed Assistant Minister of Defense for Executive Affairs; Dr Khalid bin Hussein bin Saleh Biary was named Assistant Ministry of Defense for Executive Affairs; Prince Dr Bandar bin Abdullah Almshari Al Saud has been appointed as Assistant Minister of Interior for Technology Affairs.
