Heat to push up fresh fish prices in Bahrain

MANAMA, August 6, 2015

Fresh fish prices will increase by a third as temperatures soar this month in Bahrain. Due to the hot weather, which has already hit 42C, fish have retreated into deeper waters, resulting in a rise in prices, said a report in the Gulf Daily News (GDN), our sister publication. The trend is expected to continue until mid-September, said Fishermen’s Protection Society president Jassim Al Jeran.
