100 French firms to showcase at Gulfood

A total of 100 French companies, will exhibit their latest innovations in food and related services at the upcoming Gulfood 2015, the world's biggest annual food and hospitality show in Dubai, UAE.
The 20th edition of Gulfood will be held from February 8 to 12 at the Dubai International Convention & Exhibition Center.
The French offer, spread over two French Pavilions on a total area of nearly 1,300 sq m, will be divided into two sectors: Food Service & Catering Equipment with 28 French companies, Food and Drinks with 72 French companies.
For the 14th consecutive year, Business France (formerly Ubifrance & IFA) is organising the French Pavilion dedicated to Food Service & Catering Equipment.
A total of 28 French companies will present their flagship product and their latest innovation, in a total exhibition area of 460 sq m. Visitors will find professional cooking equipment, appliances and professional tools, bakery and pastry equipment, laundry equipment, uniforms, disposable tableware, food packaging, signs and display and thermometers, among others.
Also organised by Business France, the French Pavilion for Food and Drinks will occupy a total exhibition area of 834 sq m. Seventy-two French companies will showcase quality food products, from all regions of France (particularly in Brittany, Burgundy and Franche-Comté). Visitors will find dairy products, eggs and cheese, sauces and condiments, baked goods and desserts pastry, meat and ready meals, processed fruits and soft drinks, among others.
In the United Arab Emirates, the French exports of food and beverage products increased by 95 per cent in five years (between 2009 and 2013).
At global level, France is the fifth largest exporter of food & beverage products since 2011, with $63.4 billion in 2013, marking an increase of 5.94 per cent compared to 2012.
Saudi Arabia is considered as the largest export market for French companies in the food & beverage products, with $937 million in 2013 (increase by 21.04 per cent compared to 2012).
France is the sixth for the export of equipment in the food industry. In 2013, they amounted around $763 million, an increase of 3.16 per cent compared to 2012). – TradeArabia News Service
