Hassad Food kicks off investment in Turkey

DOHA, September 29, 2014

Qatar-based Hassad Food, a leading global investor in the agriculture and livestock sectors, has initiated an investment plan covering poultry, meat and dairy in Turkey.

Nasser Al Hajri, chairman and managing director of Hassad Food met with Turkey’s Minister of Agriculture Mehdi Eker and agreed on and to initiate and activate investment plan the agribusiness sector.

“We want to get into partnership with the private sector and to invest in agricultural public domains. Products from these investments will be marketed commercially in the region including Qatar,’ said Al Hajri.

Hassad Food Company (HFC) was established in 2008 as a wholly owned subsidiary of the Qatar Investment Authority (QIA), the sovereign wealth fund of Qatar. – TradeArabia News Service
