Bahrain works ministry gets good response

The Bahrain Ministry of Works said its community service department received a total of 471 requests during the first quarter of 2014.
Of this, the roads sector received 363 requests, while the sanitary engineering sector received 105 requests, revealed public relations & media director Fahad Buallay.
"The Public Relations & Media Directorate responded to 157 requests within only 10 days from the date of reception," he stated.
This comes in response to directives from HRH the Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa and directives from HRH the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa urging the Ministry to respond to citizens’ requests and complaints promptly.
According to Buallay, January registered the highest number of requests; with 207 requests, while March registered 142 requests and February 122 requests.
Most requests reached the Ministry via the phone (275 requests), then came newspapers with 108 requests, the radio (18 requests), Twitter (22 requests), personal visits (14 requests) and the email (5 requests), he added.
The Ministry of Works’ twitter and Instagram account Bahrain_Works has received a wide response from people, as it provides them with the latest news about the ministry and informs them about daily traffic diversions and announcements.-TradeArabia News Service
