Bahrain King orders crackdown on terrorists

Manama, March 4, 2014

Bahrain's His Majesty King Hamad last night directed security authorities to take tough measures and enforce the law on perpetrators of the terror blast, which left three policemen dead as they were performing their duty.

The Royal Court extended the King's condolences to the families of the martyrs of duty, who sacrificed their lives to protect innocent people and prayed to Allah Almighty to rest their souls in eternal peace and wished the wounded quick recovery, said a report in the Gulf Daily News (GDN), our sister publication.

"His Majesty the King directed all competent state agencies to enforce the law on the instigators of the abominable terrorist blast and take all necessary measures to ward off such acts of terror at all levels," the Royal Court said.

The statement asserted zero tolerance against the instigators and perpetrators of the terror blast and vowed that they would be brought to justice.

His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa condemned the heinous crime.

He denounced the treacherous act, alien to Bahrainis, saying that such a heinous crime can be perpetrated only by evil-minded people who have lost their humanity, patriotism and sense of belonging and sold their souls.

The Premier condemned the cowardly criminal act, vowing to bring the perpetrators to justice.

He extended heartfelt condolences to the families of the dead, wishing the wounded policemen quick recovery.

"Bahrain stands united with families of the martyrs of duty and the wounded, for it's not only the country where we live. It is also the homeland which lives in us," he said.

His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Deputy King, extended heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families.

He condemned such acts of terrorism and stressed the government's resolve to enforce the law on the perpetrators and instigators of the terrorist act, in compliance with royal orders. He said attempts to jeopardise national security "will never deter us from strengthening security and stability." - TradeArabia News Service
