Planters, a leading interior landscaping firm, recently created a contemporary and sophisticated look for the Fairmont Hotel in Abu Dhabi, complementing the hotel’s modern design and refined atmosphere.

Simple green foliage plants were used, creating elegant lines and balancing the artistic plant containers, a statement from Planters said.

As the hotel is very light with many glass panels and a minimalistic design, the containers chosen were in contrast unusual shapes and striking colours. The use of strong bold coloured plant containers helped achieve the required effect complementing the interior design, the statement said.

Jonathan Pardoe, managing partner, Planters, said: “Most five star hotels in the Emirates choose Planters. The reason for this is that we listen to what the client wants, and based on this then source or manufacture the products that match the brief.”

“The follow-on is that we then provide a 5-star maintenance service so that the plants are always in peak condition in keeping with the other features within the hotel. We worked very closely with the executive housekeeper Carol Shaw to understand and meet the creative brief.
