Al Fajer inks Paper Arabia expanion deal

Dubai, January 18, 2012

Al Fajer Information & Services has entered into a partnership deal with Adforum to expand the footprint of its leading expo 'Paper Arabia' to the European and American markets.

Adforum is the one of the world's leading organisers of exhibitions for the pulp and paper industry headquartered in Sweden. It is owned by Stockholm International Fairs and the Finnish Fair Corporation.

As per the agreement, Adforum will be the overseas associate for Paper Arabia, a leading exhibition for the paper, tissue and converting industries, in Europe and Russia as well as North and South America.

'Paper Arabia 2012' will be held from October 1 to 3 at Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre.

Marcus Bergström, CEO of Adforum signed an agreement with Satish Khanna, general manager of Al Fajer Information & Services to seal the expo partnership.

“This agreement really strengthens our portfolio and I am pleased that Adforum can now offer another important trade show to our customers. The Middle East is an exciting and upcoming market for many of the companies we know,” remarked Bergström.

According to him, the GCC paper industry had great potential for growth and was on its way to becoming self-reliant in less than five years.

On the Adforum tie-up, Khanna said it was an excellent and strategic move for Al Fajer, and this would make Paper Arabia a bigger and better show.

'Adforum has the right experience and contacts to get European and American companies to exhibit in Dubai in the next edition of the show,' he added.

Founded in 1968, Adforum organises some of the world’s largest pulp and paper events, such as SPCI (Stockholm), PulPaper (Helsinki) and China Paper (Beijing/Shanghai), as well as IPX India (Mumbai) and IPX Russia (Moscow).-TradeArabia News Service
