Al Farooj opens Kuwait outlet
Dubai, October 29, 2011
Al Farooj, a fast-casual restaurant wholly-owned by Al Islami Foods Group, has announced the opening of its first branch in Kuwait.
The restaurant chain specialises in fresh chicken grilled with special recipes, said a statement from Al Al Islami Foods.
The Farooj shawerma sandwich range is famous due to its unique taste prepared in Arabic, Mexican, Italian and Lebanese recipes, it added.
Commenting on the launch, Al Farooj general manager Reda Diab said, “The first branch in Al Salmyia, Kuwait City is a testament to Al Farooj’s ROI based food franchise with low investment and lucrative refranchising option.”
“Our in-house study revealed that ‘Al Farooj’ brand franchise is becoming increasingly attractive due to its cost effectiveness and flexible terms and conditions,” he revealed.
Besides Kuwait, the company has opened new outlets in Dubai, Sharjah and Al Ain, thus taking its total regional branches to 32, said Reda Diab.
Two more branches located at Deira City Centre and Dubai Silicon Oasis in Dubai are awaiting final approval and planned to be operational in December 2011, he added.
Atif Razzaq, director of The Geek Group, a franchisee in Dubai, said it was delighted to partner with Al Farooj as part its business strategy for the UAE.
“During the times of global financial crises, investment in Al Farooj restaurant is a good option due to brand’s reasonable franchisee fee, halal food and affordable royalty fee,” he added.
The first unit of Al Farooj was opened in Sharjah in 1994. In 2007, Al Islami Foods Group acquired Al Farooj and merged it with Al Islami Hospitality business unit.-TradeArabia News Service
