Dubai, August 28, 2011

Du, a leading telecom services provider in the UAE, has expanded the Arabic library available on its Video on Demand service, a popular feature among du TV’s customers, by joining hands with entertainment company Rotana.

Through this tie-up, du TV customers will have access to Arabic music and almost 200 additional Arabic-language movies, ranging from much-loved classics to the latest releases, such as Assal Eswed, Samir w Shahir w Bahir and Nour Einy, all of which can accessed via du’s Video on Demand service.

This is the first and biggest video on demand deal in the region, delivering  high quality, variety and, most of all, absolute viewing convenience to du TV viewers, in line with the telecommunications company’s commitment to providing the best to its customers.

“It has been our aim since the very beginning to continually offer our customers the best that is available. By joining hands with Rotana, we are strengthening our Video On Demand library, allowing us to bring the very best from the world of Arabic cinema and music right into our customers’ living rooms,” said Farid Faraidooni, chief commercial officer, du.

Arabic film fans will have their viewing experience enhanced with the convenient features offered by Video on Demand, which allows viewers to watch movies whenever they want and then pause, rewind and fast forward as they please, a statement said.

Classic movies will be shown in the Subscription window, where customers can watch as many titles as they wish for a minimal monthly fee. Some titles will be made available to du TV, according to the statement. – TradeArabia News Service
