Total Jordan launches move to cut fuel use

Amman, June 26, 2011

Total Jordan, the regional unit of the global oil and gas group, has launched an eco services programme aimed at helping customers continuously reduce fuel consumption while preserving the environment.

As part of the programme, Total Jordan is providing free eco services to customers at all service-stations across Jordan that include checking tire pressure and re-inflating if necessary, checking the engine oil level, and finally offering free advice to customers on important steps they can take to save on their fuel consumption.

“It is important to note that checking your engine oil level regularly can save you up to 3 per cent on your fuel consumption and checking your tire pressure every three months can save you up to 4 per cent in fuel consumption,” said Adi AbdulMajeed, commercial manager at Total Jordan. – TradeArabia News Service
