TBS Arabic gets new commercial head

Turner Broadcasting Systems Arabic (TBS), a Time Warner company, has appointed Tarek Mounir as commercial director.

Mounir will lead all commercial activities for TBS Arabic in the region, including Cartoon Network Arabic which was launched last month.

Tarek joins TBS Arabic following more than 10 years with Blink Studios, LBC TV and Future TV to pursue a career in a more niche area of cartoon animation.

“Tarek Mounir’s solid experience and strong background in the media broadcast industry will serve him well as the commercial director of all commercial activities for TBS Arabic in the region,” said Alan Musa, general manager and vice president, Middle East, Africa and Pan Region, Turner Broadcasting Systems.

“Moreover, Mounir will work closely with our local partners on identifying local content from all around the Middle East for the new Cartoon Network Arabic, and driving it towards the international market when possible,” added Musa.

Prior to joining the Blink Studios Team, Tarek started his career in the television industry being one of the most sought after presenters for TV stations LBCI and Future TV broadcasting.-TradeArabia News Service
